A struggle I have been faced with is getting a hold of my mentor. I sent Daniel and Kristen the guidelines that they asked for, but I have gotten no response back. Getting a hold of them is definitely a struggle considering they are both so busy. I am relived I have a solid plan, but I need to start incorporating my hours in as soon as possible.

Due to stress and the fact that I haven't gotten any hours in, I decided to give Kristen (Daniel's Wife) a call again. She picked up and apologized for the time delay. I went over with her what the project was and we agreed that we will be meeting on Wednesdays working around both of our schedules. She advised me to send her a syllabus over email, so she could get a better understanding of the entire project. She told me we will go from there, once I send her more information. I am excited for our first set of hours and I am thrilled to learn from a first- hand successful entrepreneur.

I have currently gotten my mentor to agree on mentoring me for this project over text, but a challenge that seems to keep occurring is getting ahold of him and his wife. He already went over what areas I would be assisting him and his wife in, but he told me to contact his wife due to the fact that she manages their schedules. I called her about a week ago and left a message but got nothing in return.

I have spoken with my mentor Daniel frequently over the past few weeks. Daniel is the owner and founder of the Early Bird as well as my boss. Recently, it was decided on how I am going to go about my project. Daniel has given me the task of making the new punch list for the expanding restaurant, and dealing with the marketing social media plan.

Over the past few weeks I have been developing a solid plan with my mentor on how I am going to go about this project. It is set in stone that I am going to not only shadow my mentor throughout the process of expanding a business, but I am also going to be in charge of organizing the punch list for the restaurant, and I am going to be working on the marketing social media plan as well. I am very excited to begin this project, knowing that it will benefit my future.
